Former Junta Spokesman, and Founder of the National Resistance Movement of The Gambia, Alhagie Kanteh, has returned home after many years living in exile in Switzerland. Mr. Kanteh, met with Masaneh Kinteh, president Barrow’s personal security aide, sources told Freedom Radio Gambia. He was received at Kinteh’s office. It is not clear if Mr. Kanteh will be absorbed by the Barrow system. Sources said many former exiled officers have started returning home.
Masaneh Kinteh, is working vigorously to help president Barrow and the ECOMIG Forces to streamline the Jammeh politicized army. Kanteh was living Bazel, Switzerland, until his home return.
Also to be absorbed by the State Intelligence Services is Ousman Bojang, the former NIA Intelligence Analyst. Mr. Bojang has since returned home. He met with some officials of the newly created SIS offices, sources said.
In another development, former Gambian Diplomat and political activist Ensa Sey’s, name has been floated somewhere within the administration for possible consideration for appointment in the Foreign Service. Mr. Sey should not be surprised if he is contacted in coming days.
