Things are messy in Banjul! Jammeh is ready to go to war with the world. He has shut down all means of communication with regional leaders, including the international community. Jammeh said he doesn’t want to receive any delegation from ECOWAS or AU delegation. He said he doesn’t wanna hear it. He doesn’t want peace. He just wants to go to war! He has been flexing his mussels—readying to crush any opposition to his recent electoral coup against President elect Adama Barrow.
Unconfirmed reports say the Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who is the Chairperson of ECOWAS, has been snubbed by the mad dog Kanilai dictator. This followed President’s Sirleaf’s efforts to broker peace in the politically impoverished unstable West African nation.
News of President Sirleaf’s plane being denied landing at the Banjul international airport is rife in town. We are yet to gather concrete information about the veracity of the said report. What’s clear is that Jammeh has made it clear that he is not going to welcome regional leaders in Banjul to discuss the possibility of him reversing or rescinding his electoral coup against President elect Barrow.
Jammeh is now a rebel without a mandate. He has stolen the will of the Gambian people. He has no legal right to annul the election results.
In another development, CDS Ousman Badjie is reported to have lost his damn mind. The General is believed to be mentally unstable. If he is not taken into custody, then he is about to be detained. He has been talking loosely lately. He even tried to instigate a coup against President elect Barrow, who is yet to be sworn in. This was prior to Jammeh’s annulment of the election results.
