Gambia: Breaking News: Jammeh Goes To The Supreme Court To Have President Elect Barrow’s Victory Declared Null And Void

Gambian outgoing dictator Yahya Jammeh says he is going to challenge the results of the December, 1st Presidential elections at the Supreme Court, the highest court of the land, Freedom Radio Gambia can reveal. The desperate and confused monster Jammeh wants the Supreme Court to overturn and declare the results which declared Adama Barrow as the winner of the polls null and void.

Mr. Jammeh on Friday, announced the annulment of the Presidential elections results without court order. He unilaterally annulled the results without any legal justifications.

Now, he has taken a step back by announcing on Saturday that his statement was a prelude to a lawsuit he intends to file before the Supreme Court contesting the outcome of the December, 1st polls.

President elect Barrow on Saturday, told journalists in Banjul that Mr. Jammeh lacks the legal authority to annul the results of the elections. He urged Jammeh to reconsider his decision and ensure a smooth handing over of power in January.

Meanwhile, the UN Security Council has urged Jammeh to step down and allow President Barrow to assume office. Neighboring Senegal, has had its Commando troops stationed along the Gambia border waiting for directives from President Macky Sall to invade and arrest Jammeh.
