The people of Brikama, are wondering if the law is here for all, as one of their own citizens, caught with drugs two weeks ago, was processed and taken to jail, while the security personnel associated with the state and are engaged in drug trafficking are often treated differently, Freedom Radio Gambia can reveal. Fifa, AKA pilot, was recently booked by the Brikama police on allegations of cannabis possession. He was later moved to the remand wing of the mile two prisons.
Fifa has informed the police that soldiers usually supplied him with the cannabis he sells in town. The jungullars in particular. These soldiers close to dictator Jammeh. Some are engage in secret killing and torturing of political opponents.
In the case of Lamin Touray, an NIA officer, who lives in Brikama New Town, was caught with a large consignment of cannabis, spent some time with the police. Jungullar Modou Jarju, AKA Rambo supplied cannabis to Fifa and other “pusher men” in Brikama. Rambo is from Brikama Kabafeta. He owns three houses in Brikama Jalangba. He was able to secure such houses thanks to the drugs he trafficked from Casamance into the country.
Rambo also owns a truck, which he uses for sand mining. He is competing with Yahya Jammeh, when it comes to land mining. Rambo is yet to be arrested and charged, when he is one of the biggest drug dealers in town.
