Three Nuimi Students Killed In An Automobile Accident At Bunyadu

At least three students have been confirmed death, dozens others critically injured after a Minibus carrying students of Pakau Njogu Basic Cyle School crashed on Sunday, Freedom Radio Gambia can report. The accident occurred on Sunday, evening at Bunyadu village in the Lower Niumi District of North Bank Region of The Gambia.

Among the causalities was one Ebrima Sowe, a ninth grader. Sowe died on the spot at the scene of the accident at Bunyadu. The vehicle ran onto him and he died on the spot, witnesses said.

Alieu Kebbeh, also a student from Bunyadu, was confirmed death at the Edward Francis Small Teaching hospital in Banjul. Kebbeh was pronounced death by doctors attending to him hours after the crash.

The injured Pakau Njogu students, were returning from an educational field trip from Banjul, when the van they were travelling with BJL 8321 J crashed in Bunyadu. Some of the injured students are responding to treatment, according to Nurses at the hospital.
